Small one for Saturday morning. I'll be spending most of my day with my significant other, trying to find a position to sit in that doesn't make my hip feel like it's being forcibly detached.
Let's start with something I mentioned yesterday--Steampunk! CGSociety had a Steampunk contest that produced some absolutely breathtaking results. Scroll to the bottom and click next to browse the winners. I have to say, my favorite is the short called "Hemlock." To be honest, though, the whole contest is so bursting with gorgeous, it's hard to tear your eyes away!
This makes me want to cry. Seriously. Losing something like the images in Lascaux Cave would be a blow that I would personally take very much to heart. As an aspiring anthropologist and museum curator, this sort of thing makes my heart ache--and as someone absolutely obsessed with Neanderthals and that time period...It makes my heart break.
Like I said, small blogroll today. XD
Time to take some more pain meds and lay at a bizarre angle. :'D
